Drymaria cordata (L.) Willd. ex Schult.
Usage: The plant is made into paste and applied on fore head to cure headache or inhalation of warm leaves relieves headache. Paste of fresh leaves is also applied to cure itching and ring warm. It is also good for toothache. The tender shoots are used in asthma and sinusitis.
Cissus javana DC.
Uses: It was prescribed in the ancient Ayurvedic texts as a general tonic and analgesic, with specific bone fracture healing properties. All parts of the plant are used for medicine. Mainly used for obesity, diabetes, a cluster of heart disease risk factors called “metabolic syndrome,” and high cholesterol.
Stephania hernandifolia (Willd.) Walp.
A slender twining shrub mostly found in hilly areas, The plant is useful in the treatment of fever, diarrhea, diabetes, urinary disease, dyspepsia, depilatory. Also used in control of blood glucose levels and effectiveness on various biochemical parameters, namely, total cholesterol, triglycerides (TGL), high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein, (LDL), and very low density lipoprotein, (VLDL), with antioxidant properties.
Artemesia nilagirica (Clarke)
Uses: For treatment of Cough, asthma, bronchitis, nervous and spasmodic affections,inflammations, leprosy, skin diseases, pruritus, anorexia, colic, fever,dyspepsia, amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, flatulence, intestinal worms,hysteria, measles and anaemia
Andrographis paniculata Nees.
Uses: Promotes digestion, Protects the liver and gall bladder. Kills intestinal worms & support intestine. Protect skin from pimples, Pain killer, Reduces swelling and cuts down exudation from capillaries, Fights bacterial activity. Promotes mucus discharge from the respiratory system. Blood sugar reducer.
Mussaenda roxburghii Hook. f.
Uses: A perennial shrub grows in the foothills and moist areas of valley. Leaves are used in preparation of Hair lotion. Roots are used in treatment of various skin diseases, cuts, wounds and boils etc.
