Its really a commendable initiative by the SFAC Manipur chapter to re-activate its official website. In this age of ‘e’ having a platform of such kind is inevitable for a state like Manipur. I would regularly visit so that I can also contribute for the betterment of this particular site. Thumps up to the Team SFAC Manipur

I am a regular net surfing client & I have gone through this site. I never saw like this amazing website in Manipur. If, the other department update their normal activities through their website (if launched) people will know, what they doing? like Manipursfac have done . Now the global concerned people will start to enter Manipur, coz, this website educate them “what is the Biodiversity of Manipur’? One thing, that I would like to request to the admin of this site, let me allow to opening a mail account in your website. So, that I can expose to my colleagues. Thanking you. regretted my bed English.

Are cows the cause of global warming?

A cow does on average release between 70 and 120 kg of Methane per year. Methane is a greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide (CO2). But the negative effect on the climate of Methane is 23 times higher than the effect of CO2. Therefore the release of about 100 kg Methane per year for each cow is equivalent to about 2’300 kg CO2 per year.
Let’s compare this value of 2’300 kg CO2: The same amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) is generated by burning 1’000 liters of petrol. With a car using 8 liters of petrol per 100 km, you could drive 12’500 km per year (7’800 miles per year).
World-wide, there are about 1.5 billion cows and bulls. All ruminants (animals which regurgitates food and re-chews it) on the world emit about two billion metric tons of CO2-equivalents per year. In addition, clearing of tropical forests and rain forests to get more grazing land and farm land is responsible for an extra 2.8 billion metric tons of CO2 emission per year!

    Dear friends,
I like this site which is mainly focussing to the farmers who are feeding all of us . Everyone needs foods for survival and the farmers play a great role in this life cycle. Time has come to show them how to grow/produce/manufacture in their fields/farms/industries scientifically so that it is “SAFE” to everyone and competitive to the world quality food market. Nature has given us everything to take up this challenge. So, Dear Farmers and Entrepreneurs, let us wake up and grow/produce SAFE & HEALTHY foods for the healthy and prosperous future generations. Your dedication, hard works and sincered efforts will only decide the fate of our future home state in all respects because: No food No life. You know, farmers are more rich than others not only for finacial aspects (you grow more & sale) but also satisfaction they felt for serving the people of the rest.

    With regards,
